Dr. Sundeep "Sunny" Dronawat, PhD, MBA, is a serial entrepreneur, venture advisor, and civic leader with an extensive track record in technology commercialization, venture creation, and infrastructure growth. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Louisville, as well as a Healthcare Innovation Certificate from Harvard Medical School. Prana Global Fund & Venture Leadership Prana Global AI Fund: Dr. Dronawat serves as Senior Advisor to the Prana Global AI Fund, bringing operational, AI, and strategic expertise to the fund, which recently raised $50 million to target emerging opportunities in artificial intelligence. Triple Crown Holdings: Partner in a real estate fund with over $75 million in Assets under Management (AUM). Startup & Entrepreneurial Experience Dr. Dronawat has co-founded, scaled, and successfully exited multiple ventures across software, healthcare, green energy, and IT services: POS on Cloud: Co-founded the cloud-based point-of-sale platform and successfully led it to acquisition by Newtek in 2019. Fetal Life, Inc.: Serves as Chairperson and leads this NIH-funded medical device startup. As Principal Investigator for a $2.0 million NIH grant aimed at improving healthcare in underserved communities, he is actively guiding its pregnancy monitoring device through FDA clinical trials. Samiteon: Co-founded and serves as Chairperson of this AI and IT services enterprise. Additional Ventures: Founder/Board Member of educational software company Contineo, renewable energy firm West Wind Power, and developer of an award-winning $13 million sustainable hotel project in Louisville. Civic Leadership & Public Policy Beyond his startups, Dr. Dronawat served as Chairperson of the Louisville Water Company, where he led a $240 million infrastructure bond issuance. He was appointed to a second term as Commissioner on the Kentucky Commission on Small Business Innovation and Advocacy by Governor Andy Beshear, and his policy paper on Big Data governance was presented to the Obama White House as an early framework for AI and machine learning policy.
